Mario Cristobal, Andy Avalos, and members of the Oregon defense met with media following practice on Wednesday to discuss the upcoming matchup vs. Cal. Oregon's defense hasn't given up a TD in three games, and now faces a Cal team without starting QB Chase Garbers (shoulder injury). Kickoff is 5:00 on Saturday at Autzen Stadium.

VB | Oregon win home opener against Utes in five sets

After a heartbreaking loss to the Beavers in Corvallis, Oregon volleyball returned home for their home opener against the Utah Utes. And for the second time in two matches, the Ducks went the full five sets. The Ducks took the first two sets followed by Utah winning close in the third and then the fourth to send it to a deciding fifth. The Ducks went on to win the fifth set 15-13. The Duck veterans all were in double-digit kills. With Willow Johnson getting 18and Brooke Nuneviller and Ronika Stone getting 16 apiece. The Ducks now draw even at 1-1 in Pac-12 play and 5-6 overall. Up next the Ducks host the defending national champ Stanford Cardinal.

AUDIO: Oregon Men's Basketball Begins Practice Friday

Fresh off a season in which the Ducks used a 10 game win streak to make the Sweet Sixteen, Oregon is back practicing on Friday. While Oregon only returns three scholarship players from a year ago, Dana Altman has taken advantage of recent success on the recruiting trail to craft together a hyper-talented roster. While Oregon's first game isn't until November 5th, members of the team met with media today to discuss the upcoming season.
