SB | Oregon Fights Back Late, But Falls Short In 8-6 Loss
After a run-rule loss yesterday to the rival OSU Beavers(23-18, 5-13 Pac-12), the Oregon Ducks(21-24, 4-13 Pac-12) drop the second game of the series by a score of 8-6. This marks the first series loss to Oregon State in softball for the Ducks in 10 years. Despite being down 8-3 going into the 7th, Oregon tried their best to excite the fans in a sold out Jane Sanders Stadium, mounting a comeback, but only managed three runs and falling just short of the win.
Starting pitcher Jordan Dail takes her 12th loss of the season, going 4.2 innings and giving up five earned runs, as well as two walks and three hit batters, striking out only three. She also gave up four extra-base hits, two of which were home runs She was replaced by freshman Kailey Krueger, who would go 0.2 innings and gave up no earned runs before being supplanted by third baseman Rachel Cid in the circle, who finished the game by going 1.2 innings and allowing no runs and only two hits, which were the only base-…

The Pac-12 Championship will feature USC and Colorado after the Buffs beat Stanford 16-9 Friday night.The tournament kicked off in Eugene Thursday as Oregon failed to reach the semi-finals as they lost 17-6 to Stanford.
Oregon's season came to an end with a 17-6 loss to Stanford as goaltender Rachel Hall broke her own school record for single game saves with 21. Lillian Stump spearheaded the offense with 3 goals.
The Ducks finish their season with 3-15 record and Senior Shannon Williams finishes her career as the all time leader in points and goals. Williams lead the team once again with 36 goals and 63 points.
With Oregon’s season done, the Pac-12 Tournament carried on as Stanford and Colorado battled for a shot at the championship on Sunday. Stanford got off to an early 3-1 lead, but the half was back and forth play with the Buffs gaining a 10-7 lead heading into half time.

An impressive 4-1 home stand against UC Berkeley and Portland State has helped the Ducks scrape their way into sixth place in Pac-12 standings. This afternoon, the women in white and green took on the Oregon State Beavers, in game 1 of 3 in their classic rivalry series. The Civil War series is usually drama enough for the Eugene faithful, but today’s game was about more than just bragging rights. Both teams are looking to make a postseason push, and everyone expected a hard fought battle from both side. Today was anything but that. The Beavers were all over Jordan Dail, as they smashed their way to a dominant 8-0, run-rule victory in the 5th inning.
The Ducks managed only 6 hits today, 4 of which came from stellar freshmen, Allee Bunker and Jasmine Sievers. The stat sheets shows an offensive travesty, but a closer look at game film would reveal that the Ducks actually made solid contact for most of the afternoon. Oregon State…
