After a tough 74-65 loss in Boulder just over a month ago, the Oregon Ducks were hungry to exact revenge on the Colorado Buffaloes. When the Buffs came to town on Thursday night, Oregon was prepared to tie the season series up. Although it wasn’t a perfect game for the Ducks, Oregon did just enough to escape with a 68-60 victory.

The first half was ugly for the Ducks finding themselves in a 9 point hole at the break. The Ducks jumped out to a 16-10 lead early in the game due to good shooting from the backcourt, but it was to no avail as the Buffaloes proceeded to go on a 20-0 run fueled by long range shooting over the course of 7.5 minutes.  With 3:30 to go in the first half, the Ducks finally got on the board off the back of a Chris Duarte three point play. Oregon finished the half on a 10-5 run through the final 3:30 of the period to cut the Buffaloes lead to 35-26.

Seven of the last ten games for the Ducks have been against ranked opponents and that trend continues as Oregon heads south to take on the L.A schools. Friday night Oregon will face #7 UCLA, on Sunday, the Ducks battle with USC. It will be a homecoming game for Minyon Moore who spent her first three years in college basketball as a Trojan. Moore, who earned her degree at USC, addressed the media this afternoon regarding the matchup against her alma mater. After the senior point guard answered questions, Ruthy Hebard and head coach Kelly Graves spoke with the media as well.

The Ducks host first-place Colorado on Thursday with a chance to regain a share of the lead. Oregon also hosts Utah on Sunday. The Ducks emphasis in this week's practice was increased physicality in games, specifically in regards to rebounding and boxing out. N'Faly Dante has been ruled out for the weekend. Francis Okoro will play on Thursday against Colorado.

The Mark Wasikowski era will begin this Friday as Oregon Baseball will collide with Minnesota in the 2020 Angels College Classic. The three-game tournament in Tempe, AZ, which also features games against San Diego and Pepperdine, will lead to a mid-week game against Grand Canyon University. Wasikowski, who was an assistant at Oregon from 2011-2016, and just produced a three-year record of 87-82 as Head Coach at Purdue, comes back to Eugene looking to lead the Ducks to their first postseason since 2015. #21 Oregon Softball (5-0) will travel east for the Houston Tournament this weekend for four alternating games against Houston(4-1) and Dayton (2-3). The Ducks rolled through the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge last weekend, outscoring opponents 34-2 while hitting .336 as a team. In addition, Brooke Yanez, a transfer left-handed pitcher from UC Davis, struck out 25 hitters in 14 innings of one-run ball and was named the NFCA National Pitcher of the Week. Head Coach Melyssa Lombardi, Catcher Terra McGowan and Brooke Yanez spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon, and you can listen to those interviews below.
