SB | Oregon Softball Closes out the Oregon Tournament with All-Around Play
Text Story: Ryan Milano
Oregon Softball improved to 21-2 after winning their first four contests at home in the Oregon tournament. The latter two of those four games came on Sunday as Oregon faced off against the Seattle Redhawks and the Portland State Vikings.
The first game of the day opened up with a ceremonial first pitch from Dan and Molly Sanders to honor their late parents, Jane and Bob Sanders. It was a pitchers duel between Stefanie Madrigal and Brooke Yanez. Madrigal went 7.2 innings allowing just 1 earned run, and only 3 total Ducks to waddle around the bases. Madrigal was out shined by Yanez, who went 7 innings pitched, and struck out 11 batters. Samaria Diaz played the hero in extras from inside the circle. She managed to get out of a jam with two runners on and no outs in the 8th to leave Seattle scoreless in the frame.

Game Story by: Justin Grossweiner
It was an emotional night at Matthew Night Arena for Oregon Duck Men’s Basketball fans as their hometown team stood alone as PAC-12 regular season champions following an 80-67 victory over Stanford. With a UCLA loss to USC earlier in the day, Oregon just needed a win to clinch the PAC-12 regular season title outright. With big performances from the three seniors Payton Prichard, Anthony Mathis, and Shakur Juiston the Ducks overcame a tough battle between its PAC-12 rival.
Although the Ducks had a hot start and led throughout the entire game, Stanford wouldn’t go down without a fight. They shot 50% from the field including 5-7 from three. Deajon Davis led the team with 11 points at the break and hit all three of his shots from downtown. Unfortunately for Stanford sloppy ball control and aggressive defense by Oregon gave the Ducks a slight advantage of five points at halftime. Oregon averages 7 steals and…

The Ducks had some double-header action today as they took on Loyola Marymount & Seattle University. Some rain dampened the mood early in the day, and the games got moved back to 5:30 and 8:30 respectively.
The Ducks came out hot in the first game against the Loyola Marymount Lions, hitting four home runs in the first three innings. It was the top recruit freshman left fielder, Deijah Pangilinan who led the Ducks, hitting two of those homers and finishing with three RBI.
The Ducks led for most of the game, but it wasn’t all peaches and cream as the Lions put up four runs in the middle innings to pull the game within two points…

AUDIO: Oregon MBB Looking For Perfect Home Record
The final two regular season games are here for Oregon Men's Basketball and the stakes are high. Oregon is half a game behind UCLA in the Pac-12 regular season standings. Oregon plays two late-night games against California and Stanford this weekend with 8pm tip-offs. If Oregon can go 2-0 it will be a historic achievement for Oregon athletics. Both the Oregon Football and Women's Basketball teams are closing in on undefeated records at home this season, and Oregon MBB is two wins away from adding to that perfection across the board. If Oregon wins both they clinch at least a share of the Pac-12 regular season title, making it the first time in Pac-12 history that the same school has taken championships in football, men's and women's basketball. Oregon also bids farewell to notable seniors, including Payton Pritchard, who has more wins in an Oregon Men's Basketball jersey than any duck.
