The Ducks took revenge 79-48 on the Sun Devils Sunday afternoon, who were responsible for one of their only two losses on the season. In a chippy game which totaled three technical fouls, the Ducks were able to pull away in the second half, putting up 55 points by getting hot from deep. Ionescu led all scorers with 19 points. Shelley and Boley also had good games, tallying 14 a piece.
The story of the game was the Ducks ability to turn around their slow pace in the first half and shoot well in the second. They finished 13-25 (52%) from long range, and 27-55 (49%) from the field.
The Sun Devils did not have the same success from deep. They shot just 4-13 (30%) from beyond the stripe. They also had trouble holding onto the ball as the Ducks forced them into 18 turnovers.
