EUGENE, Ore. — The No. 3 Oregon Ducks softball team dominated the Loyola Marymount Lions 6-0 Saturday at Jane Sanders Stadium to sweep the three-game series.
Junior left-hander Jordan Dail stepped into the circle for her first appearance in 20 days and her first start in 26 days. The rust was evident early as she struggled to find the strike zone, yet she still retired the first four batters she faced.
“It took me a minute to settle in, but once I did and I started to kind of feel like my old self out there, I was excited just to have another opportunity to get another inning or two whenever it was needed,” Dail said.
Dail ran into some trouble in the second inning as she allowed two Lions to reach base, including the first Lions’ hit in the last eight innings. She also allowed a runner in scoring position in the third, but she escaped both innings without allowing a Lion to touch home.

STORY: Oregon VB Sweeps OSU 3-0 to Move to 11-3
Oregon Volleyball went neck-and-neck with Oregon State on Friday- but that certainly was not the case today. Oregon (25-19, 25-22, 25-22) defeated OSU in straight sets in its first road match since February 7th.
Oregon led from the jump set one, winning it in dominant fashion, 25-19. Game two was neck-and-neck, but Oregon went on a 5-1 run after being tied at 20-20 to collect a 2-0 lead. It looked like we may have been going to four sets at certain points in set three, as the Ducks trailed 15-9 at one point. But Oregon rallied back to tie it at 16-16, then used a 4-0 run to win the third frame, 25-22.
Oregon hit .256 as a team and held the Beavers to a meer .148. The Ducks also dished out four service aces, which is the most since February 14th against Arizona. Brooke Nuneviller (15 kills, .200, 9 digs) led the way for Oregon throughout the match. 15 kills were the most in a sweep from the junior this season. However, she fell short of a double-double for the…
