Softball Preview: The Ducks prepare for their 177th meeting in the Civil War
The Civil War for Oregon Softball starts in Corvallis on Friday at 3 p.m. against the 24-9-1 Oregon St. Beavers. The series will continue on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. The Ducks are coming off a dominant doubleheader versus Portland St. and will look to continue their offensive firepower over the Civil War series. The Ducks are on a 9 game win-streak against their in-state rival and swept the Beavers 3-0 last year. Senior pitcher Cheridan Hawkins has never lost to OSU and Mike White is 15-3 against them.

The Ducks moved to 12-11 on the season with a 10-1 win over the Portland Pilots on Wednesday night. It was an early lead for the Ducks as they put up three in the first and would not look back. Kyle Robeniol started the game on the mound, but Head Coach George Horton used eight pitchers on the night in a bullpen heavy game. The Ducks will take on the Golden Bears at PK Park this weekend.

Softball: Ducks Sweep Doubleheader vs. Portland St.
The Oregon Ducks flipped the script from their poor play against UCLA around Tuesday afternoon when they swept non-conference foe Portland St. (9-20) 7-1 and then 11-3. The offense would not be slowed down as the Ducks combined for 19 hits and 11 runs through the games. Megan Kleist pitched 5 innings with 5 hits and 1 earned run in the first game while Cheridan Hawkins returned to form striking out 12, only walking 1, and only allowing one hit in the second game.
