VB: Young guns shine in Civil War, Ducks defeat Beavers in straight sets

The Oregon Ducks opened Pac-12 against their in-state rivals, Oregon State, at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon State's Mary-Kate Marshall led both teams with 20 kills; however, it was not enough to stave off the potent attacking from the Ducks. Both Jolie Rasmussen and Ronika Stone led the Ducks with 11 kills each. Dakota Prukop and Darren Carrington hooked up for more than one hundred receiving yards for the junior wideout in week one's win over UC Davis. But since, the two haven't been clicking like Vernon Adams Jr. and Carrington were last season.
