Oregon Softball Loses Rubber Game to UCLA (4/3/16)
Oregon started slow and never quite got going in a 4-1 loss to the #16 UCLA Bruins Sunday afternoon. Megan Kleist struggled from the circle just a day after her dominate performance in a 6-5 thrilling victory over UCLA Saturday night. Kleist gave up a combined 3 homers. UCLA pitcher Paige McDuffee controlled the game. The only run for the Ducks was on a wild pitch allowing Danica Mercado to cross home plate. Oregon will be back at it Tuesday afternoon with a double-header vs. Portland St.

Ducks Squeak Out a Win Against UCLA 6-5
The Ducks overcome a three-run deficit to fend off the UCLA Bruins. Oregon had a two-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh. After a 1-out single by UCLA sophomore second baseman Kylee Perez, junior shortstop Delaney Spaulding ground into a sure 5-4-3 double play; however, a throwing error from Ducks third baseman Lauren Lindvall and an outfield assist from senior Koral Costa allowed only one run to score. On the mound, Oregon's Megan Kleist outdueled UCLA starter Paige McDuffee by allowing 7 hits on 5 runs (2 earned) on only 75 pitches in her fifth complete game of the season.

SB: UCLA Snaps Oregon's 18 Game Win Streak With 16-6 Rout
Following a sweep of the Stanford Cardinal, the Oregon Softball team returned home to Jane Sanders Stadium to take on UCLA, whose offense surged against the Ducks on Friday night in a 16-6 victory. Oregon's pitching struggled to find its groove, allowing UCLA to take control from the beginning. A big second inning ultimately sealed the Ducks' fate. Geri Anne Glasco took over for Cheridan Hawkins in the circle early in the game. Glasco threw 2.2 innings of relief and gave up four earned runs. The UCLA bats were led by Madeline Jelenicki, Gabrielle Maurice, and Brianna Tautalafua. All three players combined for nine total RBIs, with 3 each. Nikki Udria added 2 RBIs for the Ducks and Hailey Decker hit a rare inside the park home run.
