AUDIO: Oregon Softball is on its Way to OKC

Oregon softball will play in the Women's College World Series for the fourth time in six years this season after the Ducks' dramatic come-from-behind win over the Kentucky Wildcats in the Super Regionals. Oregon's first opponent of the World Series is Pac-12 foe Washington, who took two of three games from the Ducks in Eugene earlier this year. Before boarding a bus to head to the airport, members of the team spoke to the media about the week ahead. Below are the interviews. Head Coach Mike White Read More

Late Rally Books Oregon's Ticket to Oklahoma City

The Oregon Duck Softball team used late game heroics for the second consecutive Saturday, this time erasing a three-run deficit in the top of the 7th to defeat the #14 seeded Kentucky Wildcats 6-5 to take the Eugene Super Regional 2-0 and advance to the 2017 Women's College World Series. Kentucky jumped out to a 3-0 lead, shutting the Oregon offense down until the 5th when an illegal pitch and fielder's choice made it 3-2. Kentucky would add two insurance runs in the bottom of the 6th, only for the Ducks to come screaming back with four runs with their backs against the wall to take the lead 6-5. That lead would hold as Miranda Elish closed out Kentucky in the 7th, clinching their spot in their fourth Women's College World Series in six years. Oregon drops season finale 10-1 to UCLA as Jon Olsen dominates for the Bruins

The Oregon Duck baseball team wanted to finish the season on a high note. They did the exact opposite by getting beat 10-1 to the UCLA Bruins. The Ducks offense was stifled by UCLA pitcher Jon Olsen as he went 8 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, striking out 8 and only walking 1. He was in control the whole game, at one point he retired 15 in a row after Kasser led off the first with a double. Sophomore Cole Stringer got the start and was only able to go 2 innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits. Oregon finishes the season 30-25 and 12-18 in the Pac 12. Game Story (Nick Baxter) Read More

Kleist Pitches Oregon Past Kentucky in Game 1 of the Super Regionals

The Oregon Duck Softball team took down Kentucky 4-0 on Friday afternoon, taking a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-three Super Regional series. Megan Kleist set the tone for Oregon, pitching a complete game and surrendering only three hits while striking out eight as Kentucky failed to convert any offense. Gwen Svekis gave the Ducks the lead in the bottom of the third on a RBI single and that's all it would take, though Oregon pushed across three more runs in the sixth to solidify the win. The Ducks now sit just one victory away from advancing to the 2017 Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, and will take on Kentucky tomorrow in Game 2 of the Super Regionals.
