Oregon football head coach Willie Taggart met with the media on Monday afternoon to discuss Oregon's 42-35 win over Nebraska back on Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. After watching the tape, Taggart notes that the Ducks' offense (which went scoreless in the second half) needs to clean up on third downs, among other things. #14 Oregon rolled through the Nike Classic, capping off a 3-0 weekend with a three-set sweep of the visiting Duquesne Dukes. Led by Willow Johnson's 10 kills, the Ducks hit .457 while limiting Duquesne to a .188 hitting percentage. With the win, Oregon moves to 7-1 in Matt Ulmer's first year as head coach. The Oregon Ducks used a strong first half and fought off a pesky Nebraska team to win 42-35 and improve to 2-0 under head coach Willie Taggart on Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. Much like in Week 1 against Southern Utah, the Ducks started quickly against its Big Ten foe and led 42-14 at half time. Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns through the first three quarters to push the Ducks to a 28-point halftime lead. The second half was an entirely different story. Nebraska won the third quarter 14-0 and added a third touchdown in the fourth. Down by seven late in the game, the Cornhuskers possessed the ball but quarterback Tanner Lee threw his fourth interception of the contest (this one by Ugo Amadi) and Oregon stayed on top.
