STORY: La'Mar Winston Jr. Showing Improvement from DUCK Position
After a freshman season that saw him take the field primarily on special teams, La'Mar Winston Jr. has stepped into the hybrid-role as the DUCK position in Jim Leavitt's defense. The role requires Winston Jr. to fulfill duties as both an outside linebacker and a safety of rushing the passer while also being able to stick with some speedy receivers in pass coverage. Having played his way into the starter role after splitting time early in the year, Winston Jr. continues to build confidence and add an intriguing dynamic to the Duck defense. Listen below to a feature story on the budding sophomore.

Oregon Soccer Drops 4th Straight in Sluggish Loss to Cougars
Oregon Soccer started bright against Washington State, but after Halla Hinriksdottir's clearance was blocked and then scored by Cougars' forward Brianna Alger in the 20th minute, UO struggled to gain momentum back. Washington State doubled up before half, and a Mia Costa tap-in off of Marissa Everett free kick in the 58th minute was not enough to complete the comeback. Oregon, now 6-6 on the year and 0-4 in conference, must now prepare for Washington on Sunday at 1 PM.

STORY: Ryan Bay Turns Dreams into Reality in First Career Start
Walk-on tight end Ryan Bay started for the first time in his three-year collegiate career in the Oregon Ducks' 45-24 win over Cal on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. The redshirt sophomore did not play high school football as a sophomore or junior, but his senior season at Tigard High School earned him a scholarship offer from Eastern Washington and a walk-on spot at Oregon. As a Duck, Bay fulfilled a life-long dream. Next up was catching a pass at Autzen Stadium. Bay caught two passes against the Golden Bears for 20 yards - and no one is surprised. Listen to the full story below.
