STORY: True Freshman Thomas Graham Jr. Competes His Way to Corner Spot

Entering Eugene as a highly-touted recruit, Thomas Graham Jr. made an impression on Oregon Football's staff and players immediately. Following the Ducks' fall camp, Graham Jr. was the lone freshman awarded a single-digit number by head coach Willie Taggart, and with it the opportunity to compete in the starting rotation of defensive backs. Following a breakout performance in Oregon's week two victory over Nebraska where he intercepted two passes and tallied seven tackles, Graham Jr. is budding into the next standout in the Oregon secondary. Listen below to a story of Graham Jr.'s rise throughout the 2017 season. True Freshman Thomas Graham Jr. Competes His Way to Corner Spot (by Alex Castle)… Read More

STORY: Brenden Schooler Makes Position Changes Look Easy

Brenden Schooler, Oregon's 6'2" athlete, has played numerous roles on the field for the Ducks in just over a year in Eugene. He began his freshman season as a reserve cornerback, before quickly earning a starting spot at safety. He then led the team with four interceptions and finished third in tackles. Fast forward to 2017, and Schooler was switching positions again. With a lack of depth at wide receiver, Schooler was immediately among the group of targets sophomore quarterback Justin Herbert would lean on throughout 2017. Against Nebraska (just his second collegiate game on offense), the two connected in the end zone for the first time. None of this would have been possible if Schooler did not patiently wait for a second collegiate offer until after high school graduation. For someone whose impact on the field has been felt in all three phases, it has not been the smoothest of journeys, yet Schooler continues to excel at whatever is asked of him.
