After 16 meetings between the two programs, Oregon soccer defeated Portland 2-1 in Portland. The Ducks responded to a second-half goal for Portland with a Marissa Everett penalty and a game-winning strike by Chardonnay Curran to improve their record to 5-1-1 with one nonconference game to go.

Entering Eugene as a true freshman, running back Travis Dye already had his work cut out for him with the standard his older brother, Troy, has set. But with those higher expectations has come a greater support system that has allowed Travis Dye to adjust quicker than most, and he's seen the results showing on the field through the first two weeks for Oregon football. With his first career touchdown a week ago, Travis Dye is hungry for improvement and has a fellow back, redshirt freshman CJ Verdell to lean on as both work to carve out roles in the Ducks' backfield.
