STORY: #12 Oregon Football Stuns #3 Ohio State 35-28 at Ohio Stadium
#12 Oregon Football was tasked with facing #3 Ohio State on the road in front of 100,482 fans without key players Kayvon Thibodeaux and Justin Flowe, who were out with injuries. The tall task didn't faze the Ducks, defeating the Buckeyes 35-28 for a program-altering victory.
Oregon never trailed in this game and controlled the trenches on both sides of the ball. CJ Verdell ran wild for 161 yards on 20 carries, while also stepping up as Oregon's top receiver with 34 receiving yards. In total, Verdell had 200 yards from scrimmage and 3 total TD, including a 77 yard explosion to start the second half.
Oregon QB Anthony Brown went 17-35 for 236 yards and 2 TD, while also rushing for 65 yards on 10 carries. Outside of Verdell, Oregon's other two TDs belonged to Travis Dye (5 yard rush) and Moliki Motavao (14 yard TD pass). When in the redzone, Oregon was 4-4 on scoring TD.
