PREVIEW - Oregon Baseball Heads to Portland for One-Game Series vs Pilots
By Knight Jarecki
EUGENE, OR — The 2022 Oregon Ducks (24-11) baseball season has been historic. The Ducks, who were just recently ranked #20 in the D1 Baseball rankings, have been setting records and accomplishing tasks not seen in Eugene for a long time. In fact, over the weekend, Oregon swept Washington in Seattle for the first time since 1976 and bested the Huskies in a 3-game series on the road for the first time since 2010. That’s in addition to the Ducks' four home runs over the weekend that put them at 55 home runs for the season — one short of the program record for home runs in a season with 21 games left to play. At this pace, Oregon is projected to finish with 88 home runs in the 56-game regular season.
Oregon now heads 175 miles South down the I-5 from Seattle to Portland as the Ducks have a one-game Tuesday night matchup against the Portland Pilots (20-14). This is the second time this season the Ducks and Pilots…

#17 Oregon Softball (24-11) will try to snap a 6-game losing streak against #25 Arizona (21-14) this weekend. Oregon is in the middle of their toughest stretch of the season, as Arizona is their 3rd straight opponent who appeared in the 2021 NCAA Tournament, with 18 of 19 games against currently ranked teams. Oregon has not fared well so far during this stretch, being consecutively swept by #5 UCLA and #13 Arizona State. Arizona Softball has won 2 of their last 10 games, all against conference opponents.
This series is an important point in the season for the Ducks, as they currently sit 6th in the Pac-12 standings. After the most recent loss, senior Infielder Allee Bunker spoke on the team’s attitude going forward: “You’ve got to decide where you’re going to go from here, and we’ve made a decision as team that we need to make a change going into next weekend in order to get what we want. We understood…

Written by Jonah Bruneau
Oregon Baseball (21-11) comes into this series against the Washington Huskies (16-15) back on the right foot after taking three of four from the Ball State Cardinals. Their conference play, however, will look to get back on track after suffering a three game sweep at the hands of the now 12th ranked team in the country UCLA Bruins (22-9). Currently, Oregon's conference play record stands at 7-5, a mark that they will look to improve upon against a struggling Huskies squad that has lost five of their last seven games coming into this weekend.
The bats have cooled off a bit for the Ducks as of late, but that is speaking based on their overall season performance through the month of March. As it stands, the team batting average for Oregon is still an impressive .314, with Colby Shade still leading the lineup with a .351 average at the plate. The .314 number is good for 14th in the nation, with UNLV leading the country with a .332. For…

Oregon Softball falls short to Arizona State 8-6, as they pick up their 6th straight loss
KWVA Sports- April 10th, 2022
Written story by Ben McGrath
The 14th ranked Oregon Ducks Softball team suffered a tough 8-6 home loss to the 16th ranked Arizona State Sun Devils on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The Ducks looked for revenge in this one after dropping 5 straight games, however the dominant ASU offense shut the Ducks down and handed them their 6th straight loss. The conditions were certainly a factor as both teams struggled to field the ball cleanly as well as get a good grip on their throws.
Stevie Hansen started the game off strong holding ASU scoreless in the first two innings. Meanwhile the Ducks were able to gather two runs after an RBI double from Terra McGowen and a fielder's choice RBI to end the 1st inning. However the momentum shifted to the Sun Devils as Jazmine Hill hit a grand slam to take the lead for ASU 4-2 in the top of the third. Reagan Breedlove checked into the circle in the top of the third to replace Stevie Hansen…
