Nike Invitational: Ducks Beat St. Mary's in Straight Sets
Jim Moore's Ducks swept the tournament after winning their third consecutive match in straight sets. The Ducks improve their record to 7-2 and have a much-needed week off before Pac-12 play begins against Oregon State on Sep. 22. The Beavers (4-4) will not have the same luxury having to play in the Idaho Volley Classic next week. By only getting six days of rest compared to the Ducks' ten, the Civil War is bound to feature a match between two different approaches before conference play starts.
