Oregon got out to a hot start but had to battle against #23 Washington State on Sunday, as they took the first three sets before winning in five after a Cougar comeback. Sophomore Lindsey Vander Weide racked up 20 kills to lead an Oregon side that hit .278 on the match. The win sets Oregon in a three-way tie with UCLA and Stanford atop the Pac-12 at 10-4, with Washington a half-game back at 9-4. The Ducks play again Wednesday against the visiting Utah Utes. Oregon loses to USC 45-20 in their first game back at the Coliseum since 2012

USC sophomore running back Ronald Jones II carried the ball 20 times, totaling a career-high 171 yards and 4 touchdowns. After giving up 17 points to the Trojans in the first quarter and trailing 17-6, the Ducks only gave up one touchdown in the second quarter, but struggled to move the ball down the field and were shut out in the quarter for the first time all season. Freshman quarterback Justin Herbert faced USC's blitz almost every play and went 18-33 with 162 yards and a touchdown, but the real struggles came on the ground for the Ducks. Royce Freeman and Tony Brooks-James combined for 18 carries for 68 yards and no touchdowns. Oregon moves to 3-6 overall and 1-5 in Pac 12 play. Listen to postgame reactions and stories below.
