A number of Thurston's games have come down to the final seconds -- but they've come out on top each and every time. The #20 UCLA Bruins' defense lived up to its reputation on Wednesday holding the #16 Ducks to a .192 hitting percentage. Despite the Ducks totaling 69 kills as a team, UCLA had all the answers to make the Ducks' attack appear discombobulated. Oregon could not get on any of the attacking runs that have made them successful earlier in the year. VB: Ducks find winning form against #10 Wazzou

After taking Saturday off for team meetings and practices, the Ducks found their stride against the Washington St. Cougars Sunday afternoon. Jim Moore's looked like their old selves-- the players were more relaxed in warmups and led to a very interesting match. Oregon outhit the Cougs with a .386 hitting percentage to Wazzou's .056. In addition, the Cougs had almost double the amount of attacking errors the Ducks had-- 21 to Oregon's 11.
