SB: Ducks defeat ASU 4-0 to open the series

The Oregon Ducks used a combination of dominant pitching and timely hitting to beat the Sun Devils 4-0. The Sun Devils and the Ducks put forth two outstanding pitching performances by Breanna Macha and Maggie Balint respectively. The Ducks (31-0, 6-0) keep their unbeaten record and show no signs of slowing down after three consecutive shutouts. SB: Oregon Squeaks By BYU 1-0 on Late Game Heroics

Oregon Softball kept their undefeated season alive Thursday night, edging the visiting BYU Cougars 1-0 on Nikki Udria's 6th inning RBI single. The 3rd-ranked Ducks were stifled for most of the game by #25 BYU's McKenna Bull, who struck out 8 and allowed only 3 hits in 6 innings pitch. However, Miranda Elish matched Bull with 5.1 scoreless innings before Maggie Balint entered the game and struck out all five batters she faced.
