After the team's bye week, Oregon head football coach Willie Taggart met with the media on Monday afternoon for his weekly press conference. The Ducks (5-5, 2-5 in Pac-12) are a win away from becoming bowl eligible with two games remaining on the schedule: the Arizona Wildcats and the Oregon State Beavers, both at Autzen Stadium. The Oregon Women's Basketball team advanced to the third round of the WNIT Tournament on Sunday, with a 110-77 Victory over Drake at Matthew Knight Arena. Sophomore guard Sabrina Ionescu earned her fifth career triple-double, with 29 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. Oregon used all of it's weapons on the Bulldogs, with every Oregon player getting on the scoreboard. Junior guard Maite Cazorla and sophomore forward Ruthy Hebard both earned double-doubles, with 12 points and 10 points respectively. The Oregon Men's Basketball Team was able to hang on to get the victory against the tough-minded Coppin State Eagles 70-54. Roman Sorkin led the Ducks in scoring tonight with 23 points, shooting 4-5 from three-point range. Troy Brown was also able to produce offensively tonight, scoring 18 points and dishing out 5 assists. Also, Payton Pritchard chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. For Coppin State, Dejaun Clayton and Tre' Thomas both led the team in scoring, scoring 13 apiece. The Ducks next game is on Monday against Prairie View A&M at 6 pm at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon showed off a stout defense, forcing 29 turnovers on the evening. Sophomore Guard Sabrina Ionescu opened the game 3-3 from downtown, before finishing with 15 total points on the night. She also came away with seven assists and six rebounds. The Ducks played to their depth, with all but one Duck getting on the scoreboard. The newcomers got involved once the veterans had created a cushion. Freshmen Forward Satou Sabally finished with seven points. Freshmen Guard Anneli Maley added seven points and five rebounds.
