AUDIO: No. 16 Oregon Volleyball Looking to Turn Pac-12 Corner

Following a weekend road split at Colorado and Utah, No. 16 Oregon volleyball is looking to move past the team's inconsistencies and setbacks while welcoming in two tests to Eugene this weekend. The Ducks were without five players, three of which (Brooke Nuneviller, Brooke Van Sickle, and Willow Johnson) were starters, due to a violation of team rules. Along with an injury suffered by Taylor Borup in Sunday's second set at Utah, head coach Matt Ulmer was down to just six players in his rotation. Oregon needs a quick rebound, though it's unclear how close to full strength their rotation will be, as California (10-9, 2-6) and No. 2 Stanford (16-1, 8-0) are on the docket for Friday and Sunday. Listen below as coach Ulmer and setter August Raskie, who tallied the first triple-double by any player in Pac-12 play in the Ducks' four-set win at Colorado, addressed the media on Wednesday morning to discuss the team's suspensions and impending matchups. AUDIO: No. 12 Oregon's Defense Readies for Nation's Top Aerial Attack

Following a physical game predicated on No. 12 Oregon's ability to control the line of scrimmage against Washington the previous weekend, the Ducks' defense is set for a different kind of test this Saturday in Pullman. No. 25 Washington State, led by graduate quarterback Gardener Minshew, tops the country in passing yards per game, averaging over 400 per matchup in 2018. A big reason for the Cougars success has relied on their ability to protect Minshew, who has been sacked the least of any quarterback in the Pac-12 this season. All of this poses a significant test for the Ducks entering a raucous environment in Pullman this Saturday, listen below as the defensive coaches and players give their thoughts on the upcoming matchup. AUDIO: Oregon Football Loses Left Tackle Penei Sewell for Six Weeks

No. 12 Oregon football ground through one of the nation's top defenses in Washington this past Saturday en route to its dramatic 30-27 overtime win over the Huskies. But the team announced Tuesday morning that win came with a cost. True freshman phenom left tackle Penei Sewell, who has graded out as the No. 2 tackle in the Pac-12 and No. 6 in the entire nation, will be sidelined for six weeks after a high ankle injury. Sewell, who sat out extended snaps in Saturday's second half, will be replaced in the starting lineup by Brady Aiello. Aiello, a redshirt junior who has seen scattered starts in his first two seasons with the Ducks and was instrumental in CJ Verdell's 6-yard walk-off touchdown run in overtime, will start at right tackle while Calvin Throckmorton will switch sides and start at left tackle. The injury comes at a difficult time for Oregon, which heads to Pullman for its fourth consecutive matchup with a ranked opponent in No. 25 Washington State. The Cougars enter the week… Read More

AUDIO: No Time for Celebration as No. 12 Oregon Football Preps for No. 25 Washington State

No. 12 Oregon (5-1, 2-1) has little time to soak in their cathartic victory over then No. 7 Washington in overtime as the Ducks' next challenge is on deck with No. 25 Washington State (5-1, 2-1) this Saturday. The matchup will make it the first time in program history that Oregon has played four straight ranked opponents while being ranked themselves. The 30-27 drama-filled win over the rivaled Huskies snapped the Ducks two-game losing streak in the series, but another streak awaits them after dropping their last three contests with the Cougars. As the highest-ranked team in the Pac-12, Oregon appears to be in the driver's seat heading towards Santa Clara, California for the conference championship game; however, the Ducks still need help in the form of another Pac-12 loss for Stanford, and another loss for Oregon would complicate its path immensely. And just for added drama, Saturday's meeting with the Cougars will be the first time ESPN's GameDay will be on-campus in Pullman to… Read More
