Oregon Volleyball Unable to Upset No. 6 Stanford

Oregon hosted the No. 6 ranked Stanford Cardinal Thursday night at Matthew Knight Arena. After a very slow start for Oregon hitting in negative percentage Stanford would be sure to put the match out of reach in the fourth set winning 25-15 avoiding the upset. With just five games left in their regular season the Ducks will host California Friday night before they travel to Utah next week. -Alexandria King

Weekend Watch: MKA Doesn't Get Any Breaks

Weekend Watch typically comes out on Fridays, but given the busy schedule for KWVA Sports that starts tonight, we figured we'd get you as prepared as possible. It's only Thursday and already, Matthew Knight arena has had a busy week. Women's basketball defeated Portland on Tuesday, while men's basketball knocked off Western Carolina Wednesday to send both teams to 2-0. Now, it's volleyball's turn to take the floor, as they have control of Matt Knight Arena for the next 2 nights. The #6 Stanford Cardinal are in town tonight for a 6:00 showdown with Oregon. Ryan Rouillard and AJ Untermeyer will be bringing you all the action for that one. Then tomorrow, #20 Cal invades MKA, the same place they pulled a major upset last season. Oregon Men's Basketball Coasts On Young's Big Night, Defeats Western Carolina, 107-83

The Oregon Ducks had a big offensive night, and coasted to an easy victory. Joseph Young finished with 36 point, and Mike Moser added 26. Oregon has a long way to go on defense, but are looking very good so far. -Cameron Derby

Oregon men's basketball had a successful trip to South Korea, winning their game against Georgetown last Sunday 82-75. The team goes on to play Western Carolina in Eugene on Wednesday.
