Oregon makes it Seven Straight against USC

Oregon set a Matthew Knight Arena record for steals in a game with 16 and Joseph Young  went for 25 points as the Ducks beat the Trojans 78-66 on Phil Knight's birthday. --Bobby Ward

WEEKEND WATCH: Cross Town Hoops Rivalry Highlights Friday Night

For the third straight week, KWVA Sports is excited to broadcast local high school basketball on the Friday Night Spotlight. Tonight, it's a cross town rivalry featuring South Eugene and Sheldon. The Axemen are looking for revenge after a 31 point loss to the Irish back in December. Ryan Rouillard and Joey McMurry will have the call live from Sheldon High School just after 7:00. Until the action begins, tune in to Quack Smack starting at 6:00 with Aaron Green, Kelsy Alston and Chris Clayton. They'll be discussing last night's men's basketball loss to UCLA and previewing tomorrow's contest against USC. They will also discuss Oregon women's basketball, as the Ducks take on Arizona in Tuscon, and much more. We'll have our crew out at Saturday's men's basketball game against USC Saturday night and will be discussing that, women's basketball and the Super Bowl Monday night at 6:00 on Quack Smack. -Ryan Rouillard

Thursday night at MKA, the Oregon Ducks (14-6, 2-6) suffered a tough loss to the UCLA Bruins (17-4, 6-2). With seconds left on the clock, Oregon could not come up with a needed rebound which lead to UCLA's Travis Wear knocking down the eventual game-winning shot. -Erick Villar
