KWVA Sports Heads to the Rose Bowl Game

As the #2 Oregon Ducks prepare for the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game Thursday against #3 Florida State, KWVA Sports is heading to Pasadena to bring you complete coverage surrounding the game. Sports Directors Ryan Rouillard and Preston Hiefield will be on hand for both the Oregon and Florida State press conferences Monday-Wednesday, with interview audio to be posted to KWVAradio.org. In addition, the crew will broadcast "QuackSmack," KWVA's nightly sports talk show, Monday-Wednesday from 6-7 pm at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Pasadena. Ducks defeat UCSB 82-78 in OT

The Oregon Men's basketball team survived a huge night from UC Santa Barbara big man Alan Williams (26 points, 12 rebounds) to win their seventh straight overtime appearance.  Joseph Young lead the Ducks with 25 points and 12 rebounds and Jalil Abdul-Bassit added 20 points.  The Ducks could have won in regulation with Joseph Young at the line, but a rare miss allowed the game to extend to OT. The overtime period was then owned by Oreon's Abdul-Bassit, who tallied the final seven points of overtime and lifted the Ducks to a 82-78 victory.
