VB: Oregon takes down Sun Devils in four sets

After losing to the Arizona Wildcats in five sets on Friday, the Oregon Ducks looked to bounce back against a struggling Arizona St. squad on Sunday. Lindsey Vander Weide led the Ducks with 19 kills on 34 attacks posting a double-double with 12 digs. Freshman outside hitters Jolie Rasmussen and Willow Johnson followed with double-digit kills 12 and 10 respectively and Rasmussen amassed a third of Oregon's nine service aces. Amanda Benson finished with 22 digs making it her sixth consecutive match in which she had 20-plus digs. It is the eleventh time Benson has accomplished the feat this season. The Ducks will trek north to Washington on Friday where they will look to do to the Huskies what the Huskies did to them at Matthew Knight Arena: win in hostile territory. Oregon snaps longest losing streak in 20 years behind Herbert with 54-35 win over Arizona State

Freshman quarterback Justin Herbert tied the school record for passing yards in a game with 489 to go with four touchdowns, three in the first half. He led Oregon to a 30-14 halftime lead and the Ducks held on in the second half for a 54-35 win. The defense forced three turnovers, getting a takeaway for the first time in over a month.
