Oregon Men’s Tennis Falls to 1-3 in Conference After Loss to ASU

The Ducks fell to the Arizona State Sun Devils 4-1 on Friday afternoon in their first of two match-ups with the Arizona schools. The Ducks only point came on their two doubles victories to start off match play. In the doubles, the #1 pairing of Cormac Clissold and Thomas Laurent won their 60th match as a duo and are now 60-13 all-time as a pairing. They are now two wins ahead of the old record set by Robin Cambier and Jeff Mullen, and hold the all-time doubles wins record as a duo in program history. As for the Sun Devils, they reeled off four straight singles wins to clinch the match victory. Those wins came at the #1, #2, #3, and #4 singles spots, not in this order. The Ducks are now 13-7 overall and fall to 1-3 in Pac-12 play, while the Sun Devils improve to 12-7 overall and 1-2 in conference. The Ducks play next on Sunday, April 8th, as they host Arizona at 11 am. This is the last home match of the season and is senior day.
