After a slow start for the Ducks going down 7-0, the Oregon baseball team came back to tie the game 8-8 with home runs from Steven Packard and Travis Moniot. The Ducks fell short in the end as the Beavers scored three runs in the top of the ninth while Oregon only managed to get two in the bottom of the inning. The Ducks used a season-best 7 runs in the bottom of the second to take control of the game and they never looked back, tallying 13 hits and 9 walks in the process. Among the big winners were Ashante Horsley and Marcus Chambers, who each won the 400 meter dash, and Devon Allen, who won the 110 meter hurdles, 4x100 meter dash (as did Chambers), and the 400 meter hurdles. The momentum seemed to carry over as the Ducks got their third W in a row ousting the visiting Trojans 4-3.
