Eugene OR, –  The #24 Oregon Ducks head into their final home series of the year against PNW rival the Washington Huskies. The Ducks look to revive their season after dropping four out of their last 5 games. Meanwhile Washington looks to keep their hot streak alive winning 8 out of their last 9.

The Huskies started quick with a deep homer to left field from Gianluca Shinn. The Ducks responded in the 2nd with a two run homer from Josiah Cromwick making it his 7th homerun on the year. After the second, the Huskies bats were on fire with 7 combined runs through the 3rd and 4th while keeping the Ducks scoreless.

The hitting struggles continued for the Ducks as they went scoreless for the next 6 straight innings and wrapping the game up with a 9th inning run racking up 3 straight before falling to the Huskies 14-5 For Washington, 3rd baseman Coby Morales was on fire with 4 hits and 4 RBI on 5 at bats.

Despite Washington’s conference struggles this year they were able to demolish the Ducks in the first of a 3 game series. The Ducks look to rebound this loss on Saturday 6:00 PT where they will take on the Huskies for the final two times in PK Park this season.
