MBB | Ducks Win Narrowly Against Green Bay 83-72

#21 Oregon Ducks defeated the Green Bay Phoenix 83-72 at Matthew Knight Arena on Tuesday night. Ducks improve to 4-1 on the season and 3rd win at home. Oregon took the lead 4-3 with 19:21 in the first half and lead by as many as 17 at points. The Ducks relied on freshman center Bol Bol who contributed 21 points on 8 of 12 shooting. Along with dynamic scoring, Bol also controlled the glass as he lead the team in rebounding. Overall the Ducks shot 47% from the field on 22 of 47 shooting with 6 of those scores coming from the perimeter. Aside from Bol Bol’s scoring, sophomore Kenny Wooten achieved a personal milestone by getting his 100th block as a Duck. He finished with a game high 4 blocks which increases his total to 8 on the year. The Ducks lead 38-29 at the end of the first half, but the Green Bay Phoenix made their push in the 2nd. Phoenix started the 2nd half on a 6-1 scoring run. After a quick Oregon timeout, the Ducks had their own 9-0 scoring run led by 2 three-pointers by Payton Pritchard. Even though the Ducks maintained a steady lead till the end of the game, he wanted more intensity and focus down the stretch. Oregon’s next game is on Monday November 26th against Texas Southern at Matthew Night Arena.
