BSB: Dons’ Arms Shut Down Ducks’ Bats in Mid-Week Non-Conference Bout

Oregon baseball (14-9, 2-4 Pac-12) fell to the San Francisco Dons (16-8, 6-0 WCC) 5-1 on Monday afternoon at PK Park in Eugene, Oregon. In a non-conference mid-week game, Oregon head coach George Horton used nine pitchers in nine innings and the Ducks limited the Dons to five runs on eleven hits. However, Oregon’s offense was limited to just one run on six hits, while striking out five times and drawing four walks. The loss is the Ducks’ first of mid-week play in 2018. Oregon travels to the Bay Area to play a three-game series vs. No. 3 Stanford starting on Thursday and will play another mid-week game vs. the Dons next Monday in San Francisco.
