STORY: La’Mar Winston Jr. Showing Improvement from DUCK Position

After a freshman season that saw him take the field primarily on special teams, La’Mar Winston Jr. has stepped into the hybrid-role as the DUCK position in Jim Leavitt’s defense. The role requires Winston Jr. to fulfill duties as both an outside linebacker and a safety of rushing the passer while also being able to stick with some speedy receivers in pass coverage. Having played his way into the starter role after splitting time early in the year, Winston Jr. continues to build confidence and add an intriguing dynamic to the Duck defense.
