Ducks Squeak Out a Win Against UCLA 6-5

The Ducks overcome a three-run deficit to fend off the UCLA Bruins. Oregon had a two-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh. After a 1-out single by UCLA sophomore second baseman Kylee Perez, junior shortstop Delaney Spaulding ground into a sure 5-4-3 double play; however, a throwing error from Ducks third baseman Lauren Lindvall and an outfield assist from senior Koral Costa allowed only one run to score. On the mound, Oregon’s Megan Kleist outdueled UCLA starter Paige McDuffee by allowing 7 hits on 5 runs (2 earned) on only 75 pitches in her fifth complete game of the season.
