Oregon Women’s Basketball Tips Off Season with Record Breaking 131-91 Victory Over CSU Bakersfield

After a rough season last year, the Oregon women tipped off their 2013-14 season with a dominate, record breaking 131-91 victory over CSU Bakersfield from the WAC. Oregon’s 131 points was a team and Pac-12 scoring record. The Ducks drained 20 three pointers, which is also a team and Pac-12 single game team record while falling short of the NCAA record by just one. Making her Oregon debut, the transfer from Hofstra, junior guard Katelyn Loper contributed nine of these shots as part of her 29 points, while Oregon sophomore Jillian Alleyne owned the paint with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Freshman Crishae Rowe also made her debut for Oregon, finishing with 27 points and six rebounds.
