FB | Oregon wins comfortably 35-3 over Montana

Oregon football’s defense shined again on Saturday, extending its streak to eight quarters without surrendering a touchdown in a 35-3 win over Montana. The last touchdown the Ducks gave up was in the final seconds of its week one loss against Auburn. Senior quarterback Justin Herbert put up another Heisman-worthy performance, totaling five touchdown passes and no interceptions in a stellar performance. Jacob Breeland and Johnny Johnson III each caught two touchdowns a piece. But Saturday’s story revolved around a number of new faces stepping up on defense after Austin Faoliu was held out with injury and Thomas Graham Jr. went down late in the second quarter. On offense, Travis Dye earned the start over CJ Verdell as the Ducks opened an apparent competition in the backfield heading into its Pac-12 opener at Stanford next Saturday. Listen below to the full stories on Herbert and the reserves who stepped up in the secondary.
