WLAX | Oregon Drops to CU Boulder 14-8 on Senior Night

Oregon Women’s Lacrosse lost the last regular season home game and senior night 14-8 against #23 CU Boulder Friday night at Pape Field. Sophomore Lillian Stump lead the way for Oregon with 5 goals and 1 assists. Senior Shannon Williams factored in on 3 of Stump’s goals and finished with 1 goal and 3 assists.

Colorado displayed why they are one of the best teams in the Pac-12 as Samantha Nemirov spearheaded the offense with 4 goals and 1 assist. She now sits at 41 goals and teammate Miranda Stinson added 2 goals to her Pac-12 leading 53 on the season.

The Ducks battled the Buffs hard in the first half which was capped off with a Stump last second goal to bring the score to 7-4 before half time. Stump would add 2 more goals and Jamie Level would add one as well to close the gap to 8-7.

Colorado would run away with the score with a 6-1 goal run to end the game. Rachel Hall was bombarded with 37 shots attempted and 24 landing on goal. Hall adds to her nation leading save count with 10 on the game.

The Ducks will turn their sights on the Pac-12 Tournament next week where they look to turn the tables on their season. Oregon will host the Pac-12 Tournament next week at Pape Field from April 25th to 26th and then again on April 28th.
