WSOC | Ducks Down Utes 1-0 Off Everett’s 88th Minute Winner

Oregon Soccer (7-1-1) earned their first victory in a Pac-12 opener since 2012 on Friday night, driving past the visiting Utah Utes (3-5-1) on the back of forward Marissa Everett’s headed far-post winner in the 88th minute. After freshman forward/midfielder Zoe Hasenauer forced a turnover near Utah’s box, a beautiful cross in towards Everett left the senior with little short of a headed tap-in. The win puts Oregon in great position at the start of Pac-12 play; the Ducks are just three wins short of the 10 that typically gets teams over .500 on the year and eligible for the postseason.
