The Oregon volleyball team enters 2018 in year two under head coach Matt Ulmer looking to improve on their second round NCAA tournament exit a season ago. With a solid foundation of returning talent combining with the nation’s no. 4 ranked recruiting class, the Ducks are poised to be a contender in the PAC-12 and were slotted no. 18 in the preseason AVCA Coaches Poll. Following their green-yellow scrimmage the previous Saturday, Oregon will get one final tune-up in the annual alumni match this coming Saturday before opening the season in Lincoln, Nebraska for the VERT Challenge. Before the season gets rolling, head coach Matt Ulmer and a number of players spoke with the media on Tuesday afternoon at the team’s media day.
