AUDIO: No. 1 Oregon Softball Heads to OKC with Championship Hopes in Tow

Though the road to the Women’s College World Series has not been easy for no. 1 Oregon Softball, the Ducks understand that nothing will get easier for them in Oklahoma City on the quest for a national championship. Oregon followed a Super Regional opening loss 9-6 to Kentucky with back-to-back dominant elimination game victories, but still must face the seven other highest seeded teams in the country in OKC. Before the team headed out to the Midwest, Head Coach Mike White, catcher Gwen Svekis, and third baseman Jenna Lilley all spoke to the media Memorial Day morning about the challenges awaiting them. The team plays Arizona State at 9AM PT on Thursday, while Oklahoma and Washington will do battle on the other side of the pool; UCLA, Georgia, Florida, and Florida State comprise the other side of the bracket.
