Ducks Lose 4-3 Against OSU in Weekday Civil War Matchup

Coming off Oregon’s first game three Pac-12 win Sunday against USC, it was the perfect time to build momentum, because number six rival the Oregon State Beavers came to town on Tuesday. The momentum though wasn’t enough as OSU defeated UO 4-3 in a game dominated by the Beaver pitching staff. Kevin Abel leading that group, pitching over six innings, allowing zero runs, and only one hit. The Ducks put together a mere two hits on the night, one coming from DH Kenyon Yovan who hit a three run home run in the first inning, the only three runs the Ducks scored all night. With the help of some poor Oregon pitching that walked OSU batters around the bases, the Beavers put together six hits including a Trevor Larnach solo home run in the second. The Ducks now try to hold their heads high as they head to California to face off against UC Irvine in a three game series beginning on Friday.
