SB: Ducks Split Day One of Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic

Oregon softball split its first day at the 2018 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a 4-1 win over No. 18 Oklahoma State and a 3-1 loss to No. 6 Texas A&M. Miranda Elish improved to 4-0 by throwing a complete game four hitter against the Cowgirls while striking out eight and allowing just one run. The Ducks used a three-run fifth inning to take the lead and never looked back. In Oregon’s second game of the day, Megan Kleist suffered her second-consecutive tough-luck loss and fell to 3-2 on the year by throwing 6.2 innings, allowing three hits and three runs (only one earned), while striking out eight and walking three. An error by Shannon Rhodes after a two-out run-scoring single by the Aggies was the difference in the game. The full game story is below.
