VB: Oregon loses tough match in four sets against USC

The no. 24 ranked Oregon Ducks played their hearts out for a crowd full of friends and family celebrating Senior Day but lost to no. 13 Southern California in four sets. Led by senior standout Taylor Agost, the Ducks started slow and fell behind by two sets before rallying in the third. The Trojans of Southern California continued to respond with force when Oregon gained momentum. Brittany Abercrombie and Khalia Lanier led the Trojans with a total of 30 kills that sealed the win for the team from Los Angeles. Senior Taylor Agost likely played her final match at Matthew Knight Arena for Oregon but showcased her talent with 19 kills, hitting .229 and scoring 20 points.Oregon now increases their losing streak to four games and the road to the NCAA Tournament does not get easier. The Civil War in Corvallis will conclude the Ducks’ regular season Friday Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
