The Oregon Ducks opened the Oregon Classic with a sweep over the UT-Rio Grande Valley; 25-16, 25-20, 25-17. Sophomore Lindsey Vander Weide led the way for the Ducks, connected on 12 of her 25 attempts. Taylor Agost also forced the issue against the Vaqueros, hitting on nine of 12 attempts. Ragni Steen Knudsen did her best to keep the Vaqueros in the match, tallying 12 kills, but the rest of the team was held to just .160 hitting percentage. Oregon takes on Northern Illinois in game two of the Oregon Classic on Friday at 8 p.m.
