Oregon took care of business Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena, defeating Portland comfortably 81-41. Freshmen forward Ruthy Hebard continued to gain momentum in her young career, posting a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Freshmen gaurd Sabrina Ionescu also had a solid night, contributing 14 points on 5-11 shooting. Julie Spencer was a rare bright spot for the Pilots. She finished with 14 points, 10 of which came in the first half. Oregon out rebounded Portland 44-27 in the matchup, and also beat Portland the turnover department, as Oregon had 14 compared to the Pilot’s 20. Oregon will take to the road and look to take down an undefeated Clemson team Monday at 4pm.
