Weekend Watch: October 25th

Fall is one of the busiest times of the year here at KWVA, which is why we’re doing our best to keep you in the loop on everything we’re doing. Starting today, and continuing regularly on Fridays, we’ll let you know about everything going on in the KWVA sports department.

Tonight, the weekend kicks off with a bang. We start at 4:00 with Oregon Women’s Soccer hosting #8 Stanford. Samantha Saldivar and Anthony Piganelli will bring you live play-by-play on GoDucks.com. At 7:00, Friday Night Spotlight takes over the KWVA airwaves. This week’s featured event is South Eugene football at Thurston. Ryan Rouillard and Alexandria King will have the action for you as the Axemen look to close out the regular season with a win. After the match, Joey McMurry, McLean Cannon, Geoff Safford and Andrew Murray will continue with the talk portion of Friday Night Spotlight. The guys will discuss Saturday’s big showdown on the gridiron between Oregon and UCLA, along with volleyball and men’s basketball discussion.

Speaking of men’s basketball, the season begins Sunday night with an exhibition game against Luke Jackson and the Northwest Christian Beacons. The action begins at 5:00 and Sports Directors Joey McMurry and Ryan Rouillard will call the game live on GoDucks.com.

Our coverage also continues Monday, with Oregon Women’s Soccer hosting #12 Cal. Samantha Saldivar and Alexandria King have the call at 7:00, also on GoDucks.com.

We’ll also have our regularly-scheduled “Quacksmack” talk show Monday at 7:00 on KWVA, featuring McLean Cannon, Andrew Bantly and Preston Hiefield.

That wraps up a busy first Weekend Watch. Another busy weekend is on the way next week, so look out for another edition next Friday.
