Weekend Watch: MKA Doesn't Get Any Breaks

Weekend Watch typically comes out on Fridays, but given the busy schedule for KWVA Sports that starts tonight, we figured we'd get you as prepared as possible. It's only Thursday and already, Matthew Knight arena has had a busy week. Women's basketball defeated Portland on Tuesday, while men's basketball knocked off Western Carolina Wednesday to send both teams to 2-0. Now, it's volleyball's turn to take the floor, as they have control of Matt Knight Arena for the next 2 nights. The #6 Stanford Cardinal are in town tonight for a 6:00 showdown with Oregon. Ryan Rouillard and AJ Untermeyer will be bringing you all the action for that one. Then tomorrow, #20 Cal invades MKA, the same place they pulled a major upset last season. That match also begins at 6:00 and features Travis Teich and Joey McMurry. Both matches are available on KWVA 88.1 FM and online through our live stream. After Friday's match, be sure to keep it locked in to KWVA as Friday Night Spotlight takes the air. It'll be the "A-team" (Anthony, Alex, and Allie) delivering post-game coverage of the volleyball match along with other local and national conversation. Over the weekend, be sure to follow our Twitter (@KWVAsports) for updates from the football game Saturday against Utah and Sunday afternoon's women's basketball game against Sacramento State. Then tune in Monday at 7:00 for Quack Smack, which will recap a very busy week here in Eugene. -Ryan Rouillard
