WBB | Oregon Wins Rematch, Clinches Spot in Program's First Final Four

No. 2 seeded Oregon women's basketball has exorcised its Elite 8 demons, knocking off No. 1 seed Mississippi State 88-84 on Sunday afternoon in Portland and clinching its first ever trip to the Final Four. After falling just short the past two seasons, the Ducks were led by the Regional's Most Outstanding Player, Sabrina Ionescu, who set a program NCAA Tournament record with 31 points to go along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Combining with Ionescu was a stellar performance from Satou Sabally (22 points, 7 rebounds), and a strong second half from Ruthy Hebard, who finished with 14 points and 5 boards. In total, Oregon shot 54% from the field and after going just 4-20 from beyond the arc in Friday night's Sweet Sixteen win, the Ducks connected on 13 of 26 on Sunday. The win marks the second of the season against the Bulldogs, and sets Oregon up for a Final Four meeting with either No. 1 Baylor or No. 2 Iowa next weekend in Tampa, Fla.
