In the most even matchup of the season, Oregon Volleyball was put to the test when the Washington St. Cougars came to Eugene. Fresh off a loss to No. 13 Washington, Wazzou was hungry for their first Pac-12 win. They got off to a quick start, taking the first set 25-22. Oregon, who tallied three service errors in that set, matched the Cougars' intensity and won set two 25-22.
Set three showed a high-octane Oregon offense trade points with Wazzou before faltering and allowing a 25-22 set-win for the Cougars. Set four was a different story, as the teams traded leads three times and saw the score even 11 times. Led by Lindsey Vander Weide, who moved into seventh all-time for most career points by a Duck, Oregon was able to secure a 25-23 set win before going on to take the match on a 15-12 win in the final set. Vander Weide posted a 20-20 day with 22 kills and 28 digs. Wazzou's McKenna Woodford also had a stellar day, striking for 20 kills and a .288 hit percentage. Oregon moves to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Washington St. is 9-3 and 0-2 in the Pac-12.
