STORY: Oregon Volleyball Picks Up Another Sweep to Close Oregon Classic

Oregon Volleyball defeated Boston College 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-16) to close out a dominant weekend and start the season 2-0. Oregon didn't look quite as flawless as it did on Friday night, but were able to keep it comfortable throughout the match. The Ducks were once again led by seniors Ronika Stone (13 kills, .417, 4 digs, 2 blocks) and Willow Johnson (14 kills, .591, 10 digs). Behind the attacking of their senior leaders, Oregon hit .318 as a team. Brooke Nuneviller added 9 kills on .214 hitting, to go with 10 digs. Redshirt freshman Kylie Robinson boasted 40 assists, 10 digs, and 7 assists. Oregon experimented with the lineup at times, using freshmen Elise Ferrera and Morgan Lewis. Still, the Ducks just used 10 players in comparison to Boston College, who used 15. For the Eagles, Jewel Strawberry led the team attacking with 9 kills on .065 hitting. Oregon's defense looked sharp as it held the Eagles to .193 hitting. Oregon will be back in action on September 13th as it will face #3 Minnesota.
