Oregon Soccer moves to 1-1-1 on the season after defeating Portland State 4-2 Friday Night. The Ducks went down early when Sienna Higinbotham found the top right corner of Katelyn Carter's net from roughly 30 yards out. Kat Mertz's side didn't change their game plan after falling early and got the equalizer via a Jordan Wormdahl strike in the tenth minute, good for her fourth goal on the season. After the Wormdahl goal the Ducks went on to dominate the rest of the contest, out shooting the Vikings 36-5 and put 3 more goals past a pair of Portland State keepers. Mia Palmer scored a long range effort in the 30th minute, Maya Hahn picked up her first goal as a Duck in the 44th minute, and Zoe Hasenauer proved she can score as well as facilitate in the 57th minute.
Oregon faces off against Villanova at home this Sunday at 5pm.
